Idk, borderline threadworthy, perhaps. Would’ve liked to see it go on little longer
Cuz the team blows.Ugh, was hoping this would escape the main board. Not sure what Sid was getting pissy about.
Nah. I think if you go high with shoulder or elbow maybe call something but Connor just stuck his butt out. Crosby should’ve thanked him.Should the reverse hit be a penalty in this situation? Crosby never had possession, I think Connor should get an interference penalty on this one.
If he picked up the assist while sitting on the bench I'd dub that a Travis Howe hat trick.Kyle Connor got an empty netter yesterday to complete his Gordie Howe Hat Trick. And you people said the Power Forward is a dying breed.

Because of the blatant interference for no reason affecting a player who has no expectation of being targeted for physical contact in that context and is thus more vulnerable?Ugh, was hoping this would escape the main board. Not sure what Sid was getting pissy about.
Borderline case. If this is deemed a "battle for the puck" or if Connor is deemed to not have moved laterally to make contact with Crosby, it's not an interference penalty. Connor doesn't really change his path there, he just slows down. He also doesn't take an unnatural path toward the puck to set a pick.Should the reverse hit be a penalty in this situation? Crosby never had possession, I think Connor should get an interference penalty on this one.
Not much a fight but then again not that egregious a hit
“no reason”—The reason was to get and maintain possession of the puckBecause of the blatant interference for no reason affecting a player who has no expectation of being targeted for physical contact in that context and is thus more vulnerable?
As I indicated above, a reverse hit is basically contingent on the hitter moving in the same direction as the hittee, and then using this clause:“no reason”—The reason was to get and maintain possession of the puck
“no expectation…”—Perhaps he should have.
“interference”—Would love a rules expert to explain if and or when a reverse hit is a penalty.
A reverse hit is really just a particularly sturdy body position.A player is allowed the ice he is standing on
(body position) and is not required to move in order
to let an opponent proceed.
A player delivering a “pick” is one who moves into an
opponent’s path without initially having body position,
A player is always entitled to use his body position to
lengthen an opponent’s path to the puck, provided
his stick is not utilized (to make himself “bigger” and
therefore considerably lengthening the distance his
opponent must travel to get where he is going); his
free hand is not used and he does not take
advantage of his body position to deliver an
otherwise illegal check.
Connor after the game: "I was confused why Sid kept calling me 'Sully' every time he tried to punch me."Ya, Crosby can’t punch management in the face so he got mad at Connor instead. Funny, they’re so bad he’s gone back to his more immature days.
