Saw this at the store yesterday... crazy curve. It definitely doesn't look legal.
 
It's just the replica of Ovechkin's pro curve. Warrior has their version called the Kremlin, TSR had some Totalones with it too. Lot more toe curves coming out now.
 
Yeah, I've seen it in stores and seen people playing with it. I imagine it's a bit tough to get used to but the wrist shot is probably pretty sick. I don't imagine that you can do much else besides wristers. Im not sure how its legal either.
 
It's a cross between the Drury and Sakic. Yes you have to keep the blade closed. I'd love to try one out to see how it works as the Drury gives more velocity on shots than the Sakic but the Sakic is easier to toe drag and stickhandle due to the curve.
 
CCM will probably be changing the name of that curve soon (or dropping it) because Ovi is no longer the spokes person for CCM, he is going over to Bauer.
 
Is that really a copy of Ovis curve?.Because that certainly cant be legal at NHL level.

Wrong, don't post speculation claiming it to be fact.
 
The loft has nothing to do with legality...you can literally have a blade that faces upward and it could have zero curve to it. Hell, look at John Leclair's curve. And keep in mind that the stick is actually tilted to make the curve look less open:

Ovi's pro curve is probably a little over 1/2" if measured. Now when he takes the torch to it and tries to add more curve, it can get over 3/4".

:laugh: That's ridiculous, I can't play with anything more than a Forsberg
 
Love this and the kremlin. I will say however...when shooting wrist shots prepare to hit the glass behind the net often...untill you figure out the follow thru with this curve.
 
I just tried the CrazyOvi curve at stick and puck last night. My shots were going over the net at first, but by the end of the night, I could put the puck pretty much were I wanted. I really like this curve.

The only problem I had last night, was my backhand. It's really hard to elevate the puck with a backhand shot with this curve.

ever notice AO rarely uses any backhand shot?
 
anyone here use the kovalchuk curve? im thinking about getting a nice warrior stick w/ it.
 
Saw one at the local shop yesterday. Reminds me of gym class in elementary playing floor hockey. Kids stepping on the plastic blade trying to give it a crazy banana curve and getting yelled at by the teacher.
 
I bought one.

I played two games so far and I am already loving it. I have no problems keeping the puck low or taking backhands with it. The best part is that under pressure situations, I can roof it from in close without a hesitation.

Love love love it. So much so, I bought the same stick for my centerman as a gift.
