They showed some fight given some of the bad luck and dumb stuff.

Kind of a strange season thus far. I don't feel super confident, but they're also clearly still a good team. It's just an uneven trend up.
I understand this. I'm pretty confident they'll make the playoffs. I'm also confident in the group moving forward year to year. They seem to be more committed.

I don't know what the deal is. This guy is good when he takes puck to net with his move. His absolute refusal to shoot the puck (even just to generate a rebound chance) is fascinating in all the wrong ways.

He even has a nice power move he sometimes uses but barely has this season..

Someone needs to shake him up and tell him to take some initiative.

If the Devs weren’t so short of playable forwards Mercer would be in the box next game.

He has been far too inconsistent, and not good enough, far too frequently the past year and we ran him out there no matter what.

I didn’t love the teams game tonight by any means, but you could pin 3 of the 6 directly on Mercer tonight and they might have pulled it out otherwise.

Mercer has only 2 multiple point games this season. He's shown he is a super useful player but at best he is a 2nd liner. Even with the minutes he still can't produce like one though right now which is frustrating.

He has shown to be nothing more than a 3rd liner and penalty kill specialist.

Keefe has got his lineup decisions right by promoting Noesen and demoting Mercer
