I personally think they both have first line potential and have a good chance at hitting their potential. And have similar value.

While I’m a buffalo fan and biased, I’m taking the physical, two-way, 30-goal, 70-point center over the potential 40-goal scoring dynamic small winger.

In a vacuum? Cozens. More important position, elite size, already a 31 goal, 68 point season under his belt and loads of two-way upside. Plus you’re saving almost $750,000 a year.

That said, I could see certain teams wanting/valuing Caufield as much or more…elite instinctive goal scoring talent is always of high value.
