Thinking about it some more this was probably a wrap around way for the League (Rogers) to punish and (attempt to) humiliate Andlaur and the Sens for keeping leafs fans out of the crowd and ruining their ongoing narritive. They probably had multiple expensive montages set to The Tragically Hip they had to scrap last minute because it would have looked stupid against the sea of red.

the craziest fight I ever saw was in the old IHL when a Grand Rapids player shot at the Wolves net at the end of pregame skate, and then players came back out, some barely wearing any clothes, for a full team brawl. Ah yes, league officials are watching out for soft flicks of pucks in the general vicinity of goalies by opposing teams around the red line and if they spot something, they immediately alert the head office and tell Darren Dreger. Completely plausible!
