Struble deserves so much more respect than he currently receives. He won't be denied.
Struble was the worst defensan in terms of on-ice scoring chance differential (low 40%) even with relatively easy deployment.

People are always blinded by the shiny new toy!

That last sentence is off-base imo. So many people here talk like this.

If you don't agree with me, you haven't watched.
If you don't agree with me, you're looking at things like a fan not a coach.
If you don't agree with me, it's because you're being emotional.

How about people can analyze the same situation and come away with a different opinion?
Yes, and the point is not about people agreeing with me or not. I frankly don't care. People are free to offer their opinions, but it doesn't mean that all opinions are equal. You have to look at the arguments and facts, and use a good dose of common sense.

So yes, lots of opinions on BOTH sides of ANY arguments are based on emotions. Those are the extremes on each side. Sadly, the extremes are getting larger, and they are certainly louder regardless of size. I think that extreme, unfounded and highly emotional opinions should be called out, whether they align with my views or not.

Unfortunately, we live in times where people have been conditionned to put a disproportionate amount of importance to their emotions, and they use them more than their rational brain.

The 2020's are the Age of the Triumph of the Limbic Slaves.

i agree about casual fans but if you're gonna pretend to be a journalist, eh... it almost feels like they want to see him fail or they think all we need is Mailloux on RD
the whole narrative around Mailloux has always been so ridiculously weird. The media is incessantly pumping his tires every chance they get. He's the only one that seems to be immune to any criticism. Last year he looked like the worst player on the ice during rookie camp and beginning of pre-season, yet the media would fall over themselves telling us he's our most NHL ready prospect.

This is just an example of why these stats are meaningless in the hands of most fans.

No excuse for a young player who isn't a lock to show a lack of effort. Imo, of course. It's early yet though
Roy always looks like that though. He’s cerebral, which isn’t very useful in a scrimmage with no structure or real effort from anyone.

Man, i want to believe in Reinbacher, but god damn , he makes it hard for me to buy in.
LOL. Just f***ing ridiculous.

A scrimmage that wasn’t even streamed and fans are jumping off the bridge.

Gotta say I'm happy how the camp is progressing.
Using our probable combos from day one.
Fewer players in camp.
I was already talking about camp with a week or two to go last season which is normal I guess when you live in the basement.
Even then I was hoping they would change their format going forward.
I hope it continues with the pre-season games and we use our top two lines at least once at home and once on the road.
I also want to see players on the cusp given a roster player or two to fill out their lines.
It really does give a different feel to the camp we aim to hit the road running so don't take a day off...

I've seen the whole show at least twice, but I don't know how many times I've watched videos of parts of the show on youtube. Just one of the greatest comedy of all time!
Only did it once but yeah so many great parts. Get a good super hans comp and you’re golden haha. Found it on tubi which is awesome. So probably give it a re-watch soon.

Tubi is a 100x better than a free site should be. So much gold on there

"Our caps have got skulls on them. Are we the baddies?"
The alcoholic skit is hilarious and heartbreaking. Have to re-watch that one too

That's the reason I would have had:

Laine - Suzuki - Slaf

or

Caufield - Suzuki - Dach

To split the question marks evenly.
It's still very early...

I suspect we'll see some tinkering in the lines before opening night.

But if Dach Newhook Laine do find good chemistry, it could give us two lines that quickly push themselves into top 10-15 in hockey, which would be a gift we haven't seen in habsland for decades!
