Score 40 goals in a season since Robitaille in 93-94? Almost 30 years ago.

It sounds crazy. We're all expecting him to "regress" to 20ish goals. But as I said in the off season, no one is considering the possibility that he hasn't had his best season yet; that he could actually get BETTER.

He's quietly developed one of the better releases in the league.

Well the season is young, but so far this season has the highest average goals per game since 93-94, so maybe?

Palffy got close several times but unfortunately constantly missed some games…….but there were people out there who thought Kempe would regress ?

Just watch that shot, like that will disappear.

I'll believe it when I see it. I've been watching this team since 2006 so I'm just hard wired to never believe that a Kings player would ever score more than 35 goals in a season.

I wonder if he will get the same shot volume with the added mouths to feed (Fiala and Vilardi). I could see Kempe ringing 35 again but I think we will see a large improvement to his assists now that there are some other weapons around. If he continues to get 3 SOG per game and maintains his accuracy there doesnt have to be a regression. If the Kings PP is really good then 40 is possible.

Kind of agree, but that line is pretty loaded with talent. Fiala looks like he can be content to be a bit of a playmaker but theyr'e all essentially dual threats. That one timer across tonight was an absolutely bonkers pass by Fiala and a great body adjustment by Kempe and smart by Kopitar to be in the right spot to clean up.

Kempe and Fiala look great together. I love how Fiala can do those cross seam passes. Kopitar literally just needs to show up and he will rake in the points as well.

Sucks losing Iafallo. Looks like Moore/Danault/Arvidsson are starting to find their legs. We finally appear to have 3 legit scoring lines and a very good 4th line who can pester the opposing teams. You guys see that move that Lizotte did last night? Incredible. Guy can come up with some pretty good stuff. Hope Iafallo isn't out too long.

Kempe and Fiala are looking crazy good together. They really need to be the main weapons on the PP and the main duo in OT. Kopi and Doughty making 100 passes back and forth to each other last night on PP while Kempe and Fiala sat around was painful. I think he can definitely get to 40 this season

Kopitar was looking good in front of the net yesterday. Id like to see them switch him with Vilardi on the pp and have Vilardi finding open seams from the half wall and switch Kempe and Fiala. Kempe is hot right now and his shots were going in all preseason on the pp then they put fiala there for one timers when the season started.

Vilardi and Kempe on PP1 together makes sense because they're probably the best shooters on the team, and one is a right shot, while the other is a left shot. So you have one on each side, setup for one-timers.

Right now, they have Fiala where Kempe should be. They're trying to setup KF for the shot when it should be Kempe IMO.

On PP2 it should be Arvidsson (right shot) on one side, and Kaliyev (left shot) on the other side.

Yes exactly what I was trying to say but you said it better!
