Been thinking this too. Seems a step slow. Maybe just a slump but could also be a foot or hamstring I guess.

He's getting A LOT of ice time. Not easy for a diminutive 23 year old. He gets all the tough matchups too.

Hes been playing more minutes with lesser partners against some of the top teams(VGK/FLA/TB) in the league recently, not worried. I think hes due for a takeover game, possibly tonight against an iffy defensive team like EDM, especially if Lindgren is off the covid list

He's not playing with an injury, he's playing with this:

I'd wager the same. He's played over 50 minutes the last two games. We all know Nemeth is a pylon. Hajek has defiantly looked a LOT better. Hasn't looked out of place lately. Pretty pleased about that, tbh. Looking forward to Lindy getting back for sure, though.

I feel like back in the summer I was the only person who was mad about signing Nemeth. Seemed to be a universally liked signing at the time lmao
You're universally liked as long as you universally perform, here in HFNYR. No one here has experienced unconditional love.

Nemeth was weird because some analytics models really liked him and others really did not. We can see which one is bearing out.
Does this give more credence to the analytics model that's playing out. In terms of accuracy?

I said the same thing. I watched him here in Colorado, they picked him up again at the trade deadline last year and he really disappointed in the playoffs.

Many were quoting his fancy stats and saying what a good signing it would be for the Rangers. For a team that is completing, he is maybe a #7 defenseman.

Yeah Fox has seemed a step slow the last few games. Making a few turnovers and just generally sloppy, vs usually playing pretty much perfectly. He’s still great, and playing at the level of a top pairing defenseman, but just a level below his peak self, which is like the top defenseman, probably top 5 player in the league

He hasn't attempted to shoot the puck in a couple weeks now.

It is never smart long term to have guys play thru injury in regular season.
Not smart in POs either, but a game or 2 in a final, maybe as an exception.
rest
heal
get back in

stop w win now = counterproductive, be long term sensible.
this is another example
grind players down from over use is not smart.
have a deep team to begin with like I've said
using cheaper youth over vets to field full team cap compliant

then every so often, guy needs it or not, take the friggin day off IN ADVANCE OF THE PHYSICAL BREAKDOWN

this should not be rocket science, guys
