Same thing with Sharks taking Hrabal at #26... Sharks don't need a goalie that high, they have a lot of work with the forwards and defencemen first.

I prefer this mock for the Pens over TSN's.

Back in 2014, I suggested Thatcher Demko as a possibility for the Devils pick at #30. Most NJD fans weren't thrilled with the idea (understandably) since we had almost nothing in terms of forward prospects at the time. We took John Quenneville to unsexy results.

A few of the stat watchers used to have Jake Oettinger as a reason not to take a goalie high, especially with a 7th rounder like Cayden Primeau putting up similar/better numbers in the same college conference. Just for fun, the players that were drafted between Dallas taking Oettinger and Jason Robertson: Shane Bowers, Henri Jokiharju, Eeli Tolvanen, Klim Kostin, Conor Timmins, Kole Lind, Nicolas Hague, Isaac Ratcliffe, Jesper Boqvist, Marcus Davidsson, and Gustav Lindstrom. Some useful players in there, but the F/D in the late first tend not to be surefire NHLers either.

Granted, I definitely liked Demko/Oettinger more than Hrabal.

No kidding, Benson is such a steal at 14. He’s easily a Top 10 talent, probably Top 5 most years.

This mock has the Wings taking taking Gabe Perreault with their 9th pick... like they need another winger!?! Benson makes more sense for them.

I fully agree.
Having said that, this mock is actually pretty good...at least in my view. There's no way Perreault or Willander go top 10 but the rest of the list doesn't seem too bad.
