Not sure about this. I don't think they homed in on Benning, I think they got market value. Unless you are just referring to selling low. I think the coach tanked his value. He and Robertson both would have been worth more in the summer.
If they were worth anything in the summer they would have been traded. Reality is other teams have guys like Robertson and Lily on there team they hope can figure it out. I don’t think others team value those two like people on the board do. They were always worth more to the leafs than to another team.

“You have to have a strong self-belief,” he said.

That belief is being bolstered by assistant coach Mike Van Ryn. To spend any time around Van Ryn is to come away from it feeling more uplifted about the world around you. Van Ryn’s boisterous positivity is contagious. It’s rubbed off on Timmins.

“(Van Ryn) reinforces the things that have made me successful: Continuing to stay strong with my competitiveness, my battle and making the open play when it’s there,” Timmins said.

Overall Timmins has been playing fantastic, however he needs to stop taking stupid penalties.
Wouldn’t use the world fantastic but he’s put together a solid season thus far none bone plays aside and bone head is an under statement but he’s still fresh in games played

Solid in a bottom pairing role, the leafs definitely marked him off as tradebait prior to the season. Conor earned his spot, now stop taking those dumb penalties.
