Florida for McGinn?
Vancouver for Gagner?
Pittsburgh for Weise?
Colorado for Wilson?
Dallas for Hanzal?
Minnesota for Ennis?
Calgary for Brouwer?
Kings for Clifford?
Sharks for Boedker?
Leafs for Martin?

I can't speak for all the above teams and their fans though. Just tried to look at players that those teams may be willing to move on from.

Outside looking in, Sheary is a smaller guy that isn't producing at an outstanding level and has another couple of years at 3M.

It's true we want to give away Gagner, but Sheary holds more value than does he.

I still haven't found a good answer on what Pittsburgh's organizational needs are.

What are you looking for?

Pitt just needs breathing room in cap space to re-sign Guentzel. We have an abundance of good wingers so Sheary and his 3mill kinda need to go.

Ideally I’d say the Pens want draft picks. After that maybe defensive prospects or center prospects? Also maybe depth defensemen for cheap $

I would pin his value around a mid-late 2nd rounder.

Thanks for answering. I've seen Hagelin mentioned as a cap casualty as well, which one would you prefer to keep or are they both likely gone?

And if one had to be traded, would y'all prefer the return to be a draft pick, depth pieces, or prospects?

Personally, I think Hagelin brings a unique speed and grind to our forwards that no one else does. He also kills penalties well. I would much rather keep him over Sheary.

Sheary for picks is probably the best option. Pitt likes to trade away our 1st so having another 2nd would be good for us.

Would not touch Sheary if the ask is a 2nd round pick. He can still bounce back but he's had a downright terrible year. Has proven nothing away from Crosby.

Sheary's the odd man out. Hagelin is our best defensive forward, is good on the cycle, and kills penalties. Sheary is mainly an ES forward w/ a tiny bit of powerplay time. Imo, if we can get a late 2nd and possibly another late pick for him, I'll personally drive him to the airport.

I would do it depending on the answer to the next sentence. What's Tanev's contract look like?

(Would look it up, but my break at work is coming to a close)

I think Tanev's hit to the cap is 4.45 million with about a year or 2 left.

50 point forwards aren't worth a 2nd round pick. Okay  by the way he NEVER plays with Crosby.

The year he got "50 points"

I see quite a bit of Crosby there...

Sheary is a tweener. He has spurts of offensive aptitude followed by inability to do anything productive on either side of the ice (like right now) That being said, he's a legit NHL player. Many 2nd rounders will never come close to the show, much less become productive players. To say Sheary isn't worth a mere 2nd is typical HF rubbish.
