Shit.. just noticed that Wyatt Johnston was drafted 1 pick after Bourgault...
Frig our scouts!!
I'm a big Lidstrom booster so I'm not sure I agree but I mean, if that's the comparison I won't complain XDSeen them all. They don’t impact offence as often or as effectively as Bouchard. We’re seeing something special here.
Lidstrom is the best all around, probably all time. But I’m just talking about offence.I'm a big Lidstrom booster so I'm not sure I agree but I mean, if that's the comparison I won't complain XD
If it makes you feel better, Coffey was literally his coach in the OHL and Steve Staois literally drafted him into the OHL. Both of them were reportedly screaming for us to take him and we're overruled by Wright.
Gaudreau needs a teammate.

Yeh that’s probably true. I didn’t watch Orr though but considering the stats, you are probably right. Orr wasn’t in the list in the original post I replied to though.I might be a bit biased being a 90s kid but Lidstrom is the most complete defensemen I have seen in the modern era. Bouchard is great but doesn’t come close to Lidstrom in my opinion
Bobby Orr is the best defensemen of all time but I do think that Lidstrom is the best defenseman we have seen in the modern era
That literally would be the perfect pair of soft as Charmin players.
Yeh it’s a positive for sure. He also worked with like 10+ NHL goalies too. Has been working with Skinner since November, and since that time we’ve seen Skinner have great stretches of elite goaltending like during our 16 game win streak where he broke Fuhr’s record. Reading about this guy, hes been specializing in working with goalies for 10 years now and works on both technique for better saves and better health. He also helps with the mental game, suggesting a zen like atttiude (which Stu has).Physiologist and conditioning specialist who worked with end of career Mike Smith (in a coordinated effort with Schwartz). View this as a positive as Skinner isn't necessarily an innately athletic tender.
He doesn't replace Schwartz's work with their goaltenders but rather works in conjunction with him. He's a high performance trainer who specializes in physiology aspects of the position, not technical. His work is broader than goaltenders though the modern era position has a lot of specialized need given the style of game being played is so hard on the body. 1,000 NHL game forward Andrew Ladd when he retired credited Francilia as his trainer from the age of 13.Yeh it’s a positive for sure. Yeh this is a good thing, it also doesn’t necessarily mean Schwartz is out. We also don’t know the extent to which he works with Skinner other than this tidbit that was blurted by non-Oiler Insiders on a broadcast. I wonder why we haven’t heard this news till today.
Ticketmaster is probably the most convenient. StubHub and Seat Geek are two more sites.Off topic:
I am from germany and I consider to fly to Edmonton for game 3/4...Do someone know a serious Ticket Portal where I could buy tickets for one or two of these games?
Before I go to my boss and tell him that I am on not at work and I buy a flight it would be awesome to know to have a sure ticket.
Thanks in advance.
I could see that actually. Lol.
I don’t want to get into this right now. But there was a subjective question regarding control on that play. That is up for debate and not as cut and dry as SN would have you beleive.
Is it only me, but don't Bouchard give a feeling of Pronger 2006, but without the dirtiness....?Bouchard with an assist on the winning goal, and was +3 on the night, now +13 overall in these playoffs. Thought he was great tonight. What a play on the winning goal.
Nice to see Connor kind of redeem himself by getting the winner after missing what seemed like a sure goal in the first OT. Thought his skating looked better than any of the games against the Nucks; he was very, very good.
Stu was fantastic.
