Yet he still somehow managed to save like 15 goals above expected in that 4 game sweep of the Oilers where every game was 1-0 or 2-1.
Yes.Given his last 3 playoff performances - ABSOLUTLEY DREADFUL - would Edmonton even trade Skinner for him given that contract?
He didnt used to suck this bad. He had a .920 sv% in his first 4 postseasons. These last 3 .886, .870 and .844 BEFORE today. Its probably inside his head now.Yet he still somehow managed to save like 15 goals above expected in that 4 game sweep of the Oilers where every game was 1-0 or 2-1.
So closeI've always been a big defender of Hellebucyk. Last year, for example, he was left out to dry the whole series.
This year is different. He's letting in everything.
The team as a whole cant handle playoff hockey. They wilt under pressure. But Helle is not even remotely as good as he is in the regular season. And to think he was mentioned in the Hart conversation. He is a regular season lion.Vintage Hellebuyck is back. The guy just can't perform in the playoffs. Feel bad for the guy.
Regular season goalie at best.
Nah- gotta ride with the horse you came in on. Maybe if he gets pulled again you think about it for Game 6, but even then it'd have to be another sub .800 type performance.Does Comrie start game 5?

Blues fans rubbing salt in the wounds after Helly is pulled. lolWE WANT CONNOR!
I voted no because there is no one in the league named Connor Hellebuck. But there is a goalie who plays for Winnipeg named Connor Hellebuyck.![]()
I don't think Edmonton is willing to trade himWE WANT CONNOR!
