Believe he needs either an ELC or an amateur tryout contract.

He had a really solid year in Erie, on an absolutely dismal team. I had the chance to watch him 3-4 times in person, and came away impressed each time. I think he's got all the skill in the world, but he needs to gain major strength to be effective at the next level.

I believe he's a top-6 or bust, kinda guy.

He can sign an ATO and join them no problem.

Pretty typical for mid-low level prospects to sign an ATO and simply practice with the AHL rather than get into any games, so I suspect that's what he will be doing.
