Cimber with 3 wins so far this season LOL. At this rate he’ll have the most wins by seasons by a pitcher.
Puts him on pace for 60 or so.

Has that ever actually happened I wonder? Lead the league in wins outta the pen?

I’m not sure. It’s a funny thing to see. He’s leading the league at the moment I’m sure.

The closest was Roy Face in 1959 - 18 wins in relief, the leaders (three pitchers) had 21.

Nice day on the farm - 6-1 overall thanks to some makeup doubleheaders.
Highlights were : Tiedemann was pretty fierce, Orelvis with 2hr, Joey Murray with a tidier start, Moreno keeps raking.

Cimber/Garcia/Romano is such an effective backend of the pen. Shit even guys like Mayza have been solid.

Great mix of speeds. Going from Cimber's wild delivery to Garcia to Romano's gas is a pretty deadly combo. The former might legit be the best trade they've made in a decade given how little they got him for.

Not sure how sustainable it is though. Cimber had to pitch essentially 3 innings last night leaving him unavailable for presumably the rest of the series. Need their starters to go a bit deeper hopefully starting today.

Do any of you remember Dennis Lamp? :) 1985? I think he went 10-0 or 11-0 as a reliever. Shows you my age.
Yeah 11-0. That 85 team was the most heartwarming and heartbreaking season for me.

The first of two times the mumps swung a series for KC against us, IMO.

Unless I was just out of the loop it's possible that was a glitch/error.

It's been restored until I hear otherwise.

Well we knew Tapia would be leading off at some point. Here we are 8 games in.
I had some hope Montoyo would have figured it out a bit this off-season, but its the same old school garbage we've always seen.

How this heavy analytics FO continues to let the manager trot out these obscene lineups is crazy.

.. I mean it's really not that hard to bump everyone up a spot in the line up..

Bichette
Vladdy
Gurriel
Chapman
Kirk
etc
In general I think that's ideal, but the leadoff spot specifically is tough because some guys really don't like hitting there.
