Definition: A player who has limited ability to drive their own line but can elevate a line when surrounded by the right players. A complementary player may also play a specific role (e.g. being a puck hound in the corners, being the net front presence, being the forechecker, etc)

Examples:
Hyman: finishing ability around the net complements McDavid’s passing
Domi: pass first mentality complements Matthews’ shoot first mentality

Question: Which players around the league fit this description? Are they available? What’s the cost?

What sort of compliments are you looking for?

I think you mean "complementary".

Seriously though, Hyman is a solid current example. Burrows an older example.
