Let me put it this way:This will be an interesting one. I half expect them to dominate, the Preds played last night and let the Hawks control the pace for a lot of the time. Frankly, when I watched that game last night I thought CBJ looks significantly better than either of those teams. So we’ll see.
What’s up with Stamkos ? 1 point in 7 gamesLet me put it this way:
I make no secret of the fact that historically, when I haven't had much faith in the Jackets, the Preds have been my go-to #2 team. Basically, I've watched them to feel better about the hockey games I'm watching. And most folks here know just how utterly devoid of faith in the Jackets I've been going into this season.
So far, a few games in? I've been watching the Jackets to feel better about the Preds. It's been that rough for Nashville (and that surprising and encouraging for the Jackets). It's kind of bizarre.
I legit don't know. We'd been warned he was supposedly only good as a power play specialist nowadays, but he hasn't even looked the part for that. Altho that's partly because there's a little doubt about how the PP is being coached - seems to be a return to the days of "get it to Weber and he shoots", only with Stamkos instead. It wasn't all that effective back then either. What’s up with Stamkos ? 1 point in 7 games
Going from Point-Kucherov to Sissons being his center won't help. It will take time like it did last year for Nashville, they made a lot of changes again. Being with 1 team for that long with steady coaching and teammates to a completely new situation at that age would be a wild change for a player.I legit don't know. My cynical and jaded eye is only seeing horrible messes everywhere, unfortunately.Going from Point-Kucherov to Sissons being his center won't help. How has Marchessault looked? Is he better in that system or is the whole line a mess
From what I've seen of Tampa's games, Stamkos had problems at 5v5. We'll see how he looks in Nashville. Still, it's early in the season and some of the veterans are slower to get going. Especially if they have worse teammates.Going from Point-Kucherov to Sissons being his center won't help. It will take time like it did last year for Nashville, they made a lot of changes again.
