I was more worried about this contract than Bob's tbh, but looks like I was wrong again.

Good to see Arty staying (hopefully)

Then they aren't close to a contract if that is the case. The draft is just under 30 days away. No need to wait that long if they are truly "close."

My thoughts exactly. He's was a strong contributor to last year's success, let's get him signed.

Essentially Porty's post breaks down to Anisimov being the frontrunner to be re-signed.

I remember Porty reporting for weeks that Dinneen was the frontrunner to be the coach, and so this bothers me a bit.

Considering Letestu's contract, it should be around that. But it won't be. I'd give him 2.7. I'd go more if he could actually stay healthy.

I would not be surprised to see him at Huselius's old cap hit. Perhaps bring it down a bit to the new NHL so about $3.5 million per year

So, for the 50th time:

Rob Mixer ‏@RobMixer 5m

Jarmo Kekalainen said #CBJ is "close" to a deal with RFA-to-be Artem Anisimov.

Rob Mixer ‏@RobMixer 21s

Kekalainen said #CBJ are sending out qualifying offers to RFAs shortly. Reiterates that Anisimov's deal could be done soon.

CBJBrassard16 posted it before me.

That is good news on Anisimov. Hopefully they will have a new contract to announce before the draft.
