No it wasn't. The overhead camera showed that the left side was in fact knocked off before the goal.

This is probably why this one didn't count. The rules are clear.
Joking aside, I don't care what backup goalie we sign or for how long so long as the deal is in the 800k to 1.5 mil range. We need to avoid the 2+ mil deals. Now that's the kind of backup goalie you give a three year deal to.
I just find it hilarious that Hischeir's goal counted literally a week ago and then we have this. It should be both are goals or neither.
Someone should throw a brick at people's faces who bang the glass
Yeah I edited my post after seeing the overhead shot of the net off the left post. Had me puzzled for a while though. Toronto is not usually that nice to us.I am guessing it is similar to an "intent to blow the whistle" call

Cherry's right, especially when you don't have a cage.McLennan: always put your stick in front of the shot
Cherry: never put your stick in front of the shot
Sure, in our case where 1 mil can't be wasted even if it doesn't count against the cap, backups probably aren't worth more than 2 year deals, I'll grant you that.I'd avoid any deal more than 2 years as well. Backup goalies are a dime a dozen. Unless we are grooming a goalie to be the future starter any sort of long term deal is pointless.
