Colin Fraser signs with the BLUES

I'm glad for Fraser that he landed a pro contract but barring a number of major injuries on the Blues it's more than likely he will be spending the entire season in Chicago.

One of the best character guys in the league. Such a class act. I hate St. Louis with every fiber of my being, but I wish him the best. Hopefully he can seize a spot.

Maybe its on purpose? He did play in Chicago for a few years, maybe he has family there or his wife does? Maybe she's from there? :dunno:

I doubt he wanted a two-way deal but that's all that was forthcoming, so this could have him playing close to home.

Good for CF. Top notch guy in the locker room and a warrior on the ice. I think he's perfectly fine for a 4th line role. Plays hard, doesnt make stupid mistakes, can pot a goal here and there, and give a coach some decent bottom line minutes.

I'm sorry, but wtf does this mean?

I'm guessing that it had something to do with going into last season he had more cups than both, and the one they did have was won by Quick alone. Some would/did say.

Yes, I realize Fraser played enough games to get his name on it again, but he didn't play in the playoffs, so that argument couldn't be made.

I'm glad that Colin still gets to play in the NHL, but since it's with the STL Blues, I am rather inclined to agree with fellow member/user kovacro in this situation.

The guy never complained, just did the job that was expected of him. It's not a coincidence that he's been on multiple cup teams. He may not be a Conn Smythe player, but you need everyone involved to get the job done, even those 4th liners.

Not bad for a guy that was traded to us injured and some worried at the end of his career already.

Spot on.

And in a lot of ways the polar opposite of the guy he was traded to us for, in talent and character and other factors.
