I remember sleeping with a flashlight about 10 years ago and if I woke up I would check my walls so I could go back to sleep easily, if I saw nothing. Going to the kitchen in the middle of the night was a horrible experience.

Have no worries. I have made it to better places...

Just release a pack of wild badgers in your house and they'll eat the centipedes.

And then follow up on the badgers by letting some velociraptors loose to clean them out.

Next thing you know, you'll have a nice roach-free environment.

I had a roach problem after a structural leak. I am amazed at how ruthless and fast they are.
The good news is that my cat went on full roach stalking and killing mode and wiped them all out.

Most people don't realize that the average home houses about 100+ different kinds of insects with various areas in the home being like an individual ecosystem based on temp and humidity etc. Also most surface in your house have fly vomit on them!
