575,M $ Canadian or American ?Gillette made some nice cash in buying (2001) and re-selling (2009) the Canadiens to Molson, but Molson's investment of 575 million to buy back the Canadiens in 2009 has really paid off.
575,M $ Canadian or American ?
3 B $ Canadian or American ?
Don’t forget the real estate deals all around the Bell Centre. He made a KILLING developing that land and that stupid parking lot in front of the BC.Gillette made some nice cash in buying (2001) and re-selling (2009) the Canadiens to Molson, but Molson's investment of 575 million to buy back the Canadiens in 2009 has really paid off.
Yeah, really bad decision by gillette to sell.Gillette made some nice cash in buying (2001) and re-selling (2009) the Canadiens to Molson, but Molson's investment of 575 million to buy back the Canadiens in 2009 has really paid off.
Bad hiring of Bergevin. Good hiring of Gorton. He's 1 for 2. Let's let the Gorton hiring play out...That is some serious ROI. If only Molson was that shrewd hockey-wise.
It’s definitely worth that, considering all ventures associated with the Habs. Real estate, his concert booking and production all over the province, etc. It's BS, there is no way the Habs are worth that, or any team in the NHL for that matter. Value is what people will pay, no one is paying that for a dying sport.
To be fair, 3 years into Bergevin being here we all thought he was a good hire, too.Yeah, really bad decision by gillette to sell.

Three years in a lot of people were already soured on Bergevin. Pretty sure the Bargainbin nickname was around by then...To be fair, 3 years into Bergevin being here we all thought he was a good hire, too.
Things could go south.
I don't know about that, the expansion fee for Utah was 1.2 billion. It's BS, there is no way the Habs are worth that, or any team in the NHL for that matter. Value is what people will pay, no one is paying that for a dying sport.

Wich is very strange cuz the Habs finished 2nd 4th and 2nd league wise in his first 3 years

He’s a good businessman.
That's precisely how he got it, he wouldn't pay anything to level the team up, and would only find cheap bottom 6ers who weren't even clear upgrades most times.
Why do we always have to bring Bitchkov in every conversation. We don't have him, get over it.
Condos are like most Trump towers: name only. How much of it is real estate though? Between the Bell center and the condo towers, I reckon that most of the Habs valuation is in the buildings and location
Same as the Rangers TBF
