Don’t forget the real estate deals all around the Bell Centre. He made a KILLING developing that land and that stupid parking lot in front of the BC.

It’s definitely worth that, considering all ventures associated with the Habs. Real estate, his concert booking and production all over the province, etc.

I understand what you are trying to say, the team itself is not worth that, but the whole business is very profitable.

That's precisely how he got it, he wouldn't pay anything to level the team up, and would only find cheap bottom 6ers who weren't even clear upgrades most times.
