He was really good on the radio... but once he got to TV he was seemingly restricted as to what he could say... which took away a lot of what was good about him on the radio tbh.

I know im in the minority but I didnt all that much like Bundy on radio. He was damn near unlistenable on tv though.

I thought he got better over his tenure but that he was still pretty bad. Depends on who replaces him, but, unless it's Coates, it's hard to imagine this being a net loss.

Coatesy on the radio is a never-ending treat, though. Can't supplant all his ~knowledge~ and ~insight~.

I agree about Jackson and Clement. I used to like Jackson for his voice and consistency, but he's become an even more insufferable homer as the years go past. I'm done with "THEY SAY it's offside..." like, dude, it isn't the wrong call every damn time. It annoys the hell out of me, this like indignant streak he's on...speech habits can be hard to break, and he wasn't always like that. Clement was decent way back in national broadcasts, but now he just sounds like a horny homer who becomes increasingly aroused through the game.

Saunders I find to be a good play-by-play who might be better served by TV. He's sometimes hard to follow, contrasting with say Mike Lange in Pittsburgh, who does a somewhat better job placing the action. With Saunders you just sort of have to guess where the puck is sometimes, he forgets to make an aside about the context during sustained action. But he's still really good, and his voice just sounds like hockey to me. I've tried numerous times to sync up the radio with my TV but I can never get it timed just right.

One thing I noticed about him, that was really really annoying, was how every time he asked a player a question during a bench interview, he'd ask the question but then continue babbling on for another couple sentences instead of letting them answer.

Drove me nuts.

I like all three of them together, even though they are ridiculous. Maybe I like them because they are ridiculous, don't know. But what I will say, and what I think we can all agree on, is that the talking heads in the studio all need to be shot at and past the surface of the Moon. No Ellis, so that's a start.
