So Kreider has scored 16 goals in an elimination game in the playoffs, tied with Messier.

Justin Williams and Jagr just behind them with 15 each.

16 goals is the most in NHL history. This is Kreider's 28th elimination game in the playoffs. Messier did it in 24 games played.

Pretty impressive.

Edit: Kredier got a total of 40 playoffs goals, most in Rangers history.

Maybe this isn't such a great stat, implying that his team has faced so many elimination games. Like someone said, if they've won more than they've lost, then great.

True to a certain extent. At the same time it means that he actually steps up in the playoffs. He has 40 playoffs goals now, most in NYR history.

In Kreider's tenure? They probably have but I don't have the numbers. Lundqvist or Shesterkin + Kreider seems to be a combo to keep you in a series.

Rangers were down 3-1 vs Pittsburgh last year, came back to win. Down 3-2 to Carolina and came back to win. Down 3-2 to NJ and won last night.

To play in a lot of elimination games, your team not only has to be in a position to be eliminated, but they also have to win those games more often than not.

Kreider has been in the playoffs 9 times in 12 years. He has played in 28 elimination games. That's just over 3 per year. Got to win at least 2 out of 3, on average, to play in that many.

The Rangers have 11 playoff series wins during Kreider's tenure. They never make it easy on themselves, but they find ways to get it done.

The Rangers only lost three series during Lundqvist's tenure? What?
Those numbers are over a fixed period.
