Told #Buckeyes junior forward Chris Crane (West Chester, Ohio) has signed with #SJSharks. Was San Jose's 7th-round pick in 2010.

This kind of surprises me...

Me too. Isn't he ranked like a 4.5B by HF? Plus, I WANT NIETO.

Worcester doesn't need anymore tough guys.

He isn't really a tough guy, that's not the game he plays.

The reason I'm surprised they signed him is because of the recent season he had...if someone had asked me after his soph. season if the Sharks would sign him I'd say yes. But, from my understanding, he had a rough, rough junior year.

The org. must still see some upside in him.

13 fights in his last season in the USHL before going to OSU. Its pretty safe to assume what his role in S.F. or Worcester will be. He was recently suspended for a hit to the head or his third game misconduct whatever the rule is.

Crane was a healthy scratch once or twice this year. But I heard he is full of sandpaper.

Sandpaper is a good word, he's an agitator at this level (college, AHL) not really a fighter, though clearly he's not afraid to drop the gloves.

He had a pretty good soph season and looked like he had figured out how to play more of a complete game but then regressed this year. He's a hard guy to play against, he likes to hit, forecheck, he's a good PKer but he seems to have limited upside, a checking / energy guy.

Seems like a waste of a precious contract slot to me.

So is this strictly an AHL contract?

Yeah. He's had suspension issues, no?

I actually think he's a time travelling Pavelski.

I remember recently asking if anyone watched his play this season because he seemed like a total surprise last season being the leading scorer on the team. Now he looks like a 7th rd pick again.

Sign NIETO AND RODRIGUES!!!

Clowe replacement.

inc Clowe for Crosby (e4)

Everyone cheers. Todd Mclellan replaced by actual Koala. We score 5 goals per game from here on out. Sharks win the cup....

It will never happen. :help:

(I am going to start drinking again for games)
