Go HIFK! I also expect Bern to give a much better showing today against Tappara. Here's hoping Sønderjyske can snatch a point or two from Skellefteå

Tappara is dominating against Bern. Bührer is the only thing keeping it at 1-0

Bern finished last year fighting for not being sent down to the 2nd league. Which is a shame for a team with the highest number of spectators in Europe =+/- highest budget.

They changed 1/3 of the team for this season and haven't had a game this season apart of yesterday's "game" where they lost 0-7.

I hope some improvement ! or it's gonna be another loooong season.

Another game that will potentially be decided by the power plays.

Some Tapara's players seem pretty emotional ... (one had 3 penalties in the middle period)

At least Bern seems to waken up. 4-2 ...

So how come the Cologne game is neither streamed nor broadcasted? After all it's taking place in Europe's biggest hockey arena...

They got the "match of the day" treatment against Kosice on Thursday. It's another team's turn now. Still, it's odd.

Capitals just had a power play where the four Valeranga players had two sticks between them and they didn't manage one shot on goal. :(

That doesn't make sense. Every single game is streamed except for this one. It's not on championshockeyleague.net, not on laola1.tv and not broadcasted on German TV. It is basically not covered.

I noticed and the only explanation I have is that Laola/Servus covers both Austrian and the German teams so they can only afford so many camera crew. The livestreams on the CHL website are probably borrowed from the other tv stations in Europe who have the rights for the CHL in their countries. The Czech TV station decided to show the other two games just like Servus/Laola decided to show the other German teams instead. I know it sucks. Let's hope it's the last time that happens.

Let's hope it's the last time that happens.

If the schedule on championshockeyleague.net is anything to go by the Kärpät - Haie game on 5th Sep won't be shown either.
Neither will Villach - Briançon the day before or Ingolstadt - Vitkovice on the 23rd

An even game between Kosice and Kärpät, with two periods played, 1-2 the score. Kärpät took way too many penalties towards the end of the second period and wasn't able to take advantage of their own powerplay opportunities. Kosice seems to be a fast skating team, so I'm not too confident despite the lead.

Where did they come up with the refs for the HIFK game? The reffing has been god awful on both sides. :help:

And there goes lehtonen, shame people will only remember that hit. Though it was nice to see the danish team score:)

Says a lot about the reffing in HIFK-Krefeld when the crowd loudly cheers when they call an icing properly.

Andreas Johnson will another 3 assists today for Frolunda :).

Edit: Added 2 goals and an assist in the 3rd. 2 goals 7 assists in 2 games.
