the idea is AA can be pencil in from the 2nd line Center thru 4th line Center . Perlini, look beyond his stats this yr. he is a former 1st rounder and he did score when he was with Arz. He has a a doable salary and is coming up to his RFA yrs ......

When looking at the Leafs roster it's pretty clear where Anisimov would be slotting in. 4th line C. There's no way that we can keep his contract next year either.

Perlini is a completely unnecessary depth piece. We're weak at LW, but 10 points in 48 games is not going to push a guy like Lindholm (12p, 55gp) out of the lineup who has the versitility to PK.

Trading for a rental 4c and LW isn't out of the question, but Anisimov would be too expensive, has term, and Perlini is not an upgrade. The Leafs would not be interested in this package at all.

So... why does Toronto care? He’d be our 4th line C at the moment, but we can’t afford him there? I assume you’re a Leafs fan as the goal of this thread seems to want to acquire these players. Do you have a Kadri for Pesce dream in the background here somewhere because we don’t need AA, and While I guess Perlini fits, I don’t see the point.

No, i will tell you that AA would cost to much to only play him on the 4th line. Boyle, a 4th line C, just landed a 2nd...so a 2nd for AA?

I'm not moving goalposts at all. Leafs need a 4th line C, AA is will cost more than a 4th line C...that was my point.
