Those ticket prices are just absolutely bonkers. I'd expect that for Olympics where actual medals and stakes are on the line, not for a gimmick tournament. Yes, it's been a huge success for the NHL and the players are trying, great hockey, lot of fun. But it's still a flawed one-off gimmick and will be a complete footnote in hockey history compared to World Cups and especially Olympics. I am of course looking forward to tonight and rooting for the US but I honestly don't think the outcome matters much here. Olympics in a year is what will matter.

The ticket prices were actually pretty reasonable just a few weeks ago before it got crazy hype. Especially reasonable when you buy presale.

You really need to let go off of your wrestling boner dude.
Meh. Don't read too much into it. I gave it up for good once it lost to a "paper" avatar. At this point I only keep up with it as a superstition because getting shot down as many times I have been has more or less proven to be good luck

I use to love watching International hockey.
Today?
Not so much
As a Canadian will I bother to watched tonight's game?
No. I will check the score before bed.
Can't wait for the NHL schedule to restart on Saturdays and watch the homestretch for the POs.

Because I hate the fact the NHL paused its schedule for 2 weeks for a fake tournament that does not matter.
Especially since there will be a much longer pause in the schedule next year for the Olympics.
There was no need for this BS tournament this year.

It's been more entertaining than any NHL game this season. I can't imagine a fan of the NHL that hasn't enjoyed watching these games.

I know plenty, and it's to each their own I guess. Most of the people I know who aren't a fan of this tournament going on are pretty die hard fans of their respective NHL teams. In contrast, this tournament, which international hockey tends to do in general in my experience, is bring in people who don't watch hockey all that often. Even my dad is going to watch tonight's game, and he makes fun of me for liking hockey.

Olympics put me to sleep....Just a boring boring atmosphere....

The Olympics do have historical significance i guess, but this is way more exciting.
