I know the schedules of the teams are hilariously different (PSG facing basically top team after top team, while Brest beat up on Sturm, Salzburg and Sparta, and still have very winnable games vs PSV and Shaktar to go)... But watching the table and seeing PSG at 4 pts, RM at 6 and City at 8 is silly.

Dinamo Zagreb somehow beats BVB tonight and they're at 10 lol.

Any league tables where everyone doesn't play everyone are just stupid.
But hey, UEFA got more matches. Sure, you get 4-0 and 6-0 matches every round and noone cares about most of the matches (as far as neutrals go)... But money!

The second yellow was the ref starting to play advantage and then remembering it was a second yellow and thus he’s supposed to stop play immediately and not play advantage.

Diving into a challenge like that is going to get you a yellow 4 times out of 5 in todays game, even if you barely touch the player.
But as I said destroying someone's ankle from behind gave Leimer 0 card.

Don't worry this format is just an excuse for UEFA to expand to 10 matches within a year or two, then to 12, 14 and so on until next decade when it will become a full on super league

I'm not saying the ref was good or consistent, I didn't watch enough of the game to really comment on that.

I rewound to see the second yellow because it was a big moment. I also saw Mueller stomp someone's good and not get called for a foul so that wasn't great.

Still don't understand how this is any different from the old format. There were blow out matches every round back then as well. Now at least we don't have dumb groups that ensure a mediocre team advances, or that a top team will have to play EL :dunno:

Don't get why Pep re-upped with City. Once Haaland leaves, they're in shambles. Could easily see Haaland leave for Barca to replace Lewa too but that Polish GOAT is still doing well as evidence from today.
At this point, Haaland isn't helping the team any.
With negative creativity out there (except how to make the most awful passes to give opposing teams an easier go) nobody can get Haaland the ball and even when he does have the ball he's missed so many walk-ins over the past six game stretch...
They need a work horse in the middle of the pitch, not someone waiting for a creative play coming his way.

City will be in shambles once Rodri leaves. Haaland... they did fine without him, but not Rodri.

The issue is that when Kdb went down Rodri was there. They haven’t replaced KDB and now Rodri is down. That’s their spine. Foden hasn’t been able to establish himself as a guy who can carry a team. I thought he would be by now.

Would have rested Gravenberch today but we will see how it goes. Slot definitely is trying to plant a flag here
