Not saying it’s not deserved but his rep was so different back in 2016. Always weird seeing “name” guys drop off.
Great guy and was a way better player than his haters would have you believe.
But Father Time remains undefeated.
They don’t have to activate Bahl until Sunday. Guessing Solo and Kuz are battling for the spot. He'll be good in the room for the Wranglers for the rest of the season. Also a bit surprised no one else was waived as the Flames recalled both Solovyov and Kuznetsov yesterday and with Bahl nearing a return, that will give us 9D on the roster.
I think both will stay and when they are 100% sure Bahl is ready (they are currently non-committal), then they will waive MiroThey don’t have to activate Bahl until Sunday. Guessing Solo and Kuz are battling for the spot.
My guess too. Unless they have a trade lined up for him.I think both will stay and when they are 100% sure Bahl is ready (they are currently non-committal), then they will waive Miro
oufff, now that is rock bottom
SFinally. Barrie is done. He's so bad that even a team blatantly tanking would feel bad about playing him regularly.
Three points out of the playoffs is "tanking "?
Just because someone isn't good at execution, doesn't mean they don't understand the logistics and process. You have no idea is he'd be a good mentor or not, but he's known to be a hard working, team first guy... add in that was drafted in the 3rd round and parlayed that into a career of over 800 NHL games, you'd be hard pressed to convince me he has nothing of value to teach young players.I've like what Conroy has done so far but this was a bad signing from day #1. As for his leadership, great if he is liked in the locker room but he's that last guy you want young developing defencemen to learn from. If he clears they should tell him to report to his vacation house for the rest of the season.
I'm sure you're the expert though. Anyone who has made it in the NHL probably has something valuable to pass on to young players, that doesn't mean they should be guiding their development. Barrie has always been a decent but flawed player that relies heavily on his offence to keep his career alive. Players that are actually expected to play a complete game have very little to learn from him, better off listening to their coaches. I'll be glad when he's gone, bad signing from day #1.Just because someone isn't good at execution, doesn't mean they don't understand the logistics and process. I'm far from an expert... but I try to see things from multiple perspectives... like offensive players, they see how their opponents play them and learn how to beat them and know what is done to stop them. Even if he only has offensive tips, guys like Brzustewicz, Poirier and Jurmo who are supposed to be more offensive minded could learn a great deal from him... hell Grushnikov could really use some offensive pointers toofor help on their defensive game they can talk to coaches or other vets like Tinordi who only had a defensive and physical game to rely upon.I'm sure you're the expert though. I'm not sure whether to applaud or groan. The Goldilocks zone.About time he gets Barrie'd in the minors.
Why? Teams have contract limits. Why waste one in Barrie. The flames will need to take a crappy contract back to move him. He’s getting claimed right ?
Call-ups from AHL already happened, and Barrie is not good.Flames making room on their roster.
Trade incoming?
