Confirmed Trade: [CGY/PHI] Morgan Frost, Joel Farabee for Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, 2025 2nd, 2028 7th

Shooting percentage isn't an explanation on its own, it's just a metric that leaves out the explanation.

He is a finisher and it reluctant to shoot. His successful seasons will always look like shooting percentage outliers. Sort of like the scoring side of Tanguay or Ribeiro. Sometimes to maddening degrees, they won't shoot unless it's an A+ chance.

It's also funny that people want to play it both ways. Kuzmenko sucks and Petey is overrated.

Petey had a big hand in Kuzmenko's success but Kuz also had the creativity and skills to play off of Petey better than anyone has since.

Kuzmenko can be useful and score a lot playing off of a linemate/line that does most of the puck retrievals and transporting which means he probably has to be in the perfect situation to be a big part of a winning team.

But he's not useless or terrible. He's just a boutique item that one purchases when their other ducks are a in a row.
Ok.. I didn't say Pettersson was overrated so that's irrelevant.

Guys who are bad skaters and don't like to shoot need to be good away from the puck to be effective.

To be fair that Lindholm trade was a lose-lose for both sides. Pretty much everyone involved in that trade ended up a dud.

Win-Win if anything.

Lindholm was great for the Canucks in the playoffs & clearing Kuzmenko's $$$ for this season was paramount.

Flames recouped solid assets for Lindholm & rolled the dice on Kuzmenko being a decent player for them (which he was last season).

And I doubt they are going to be paying to move off him in this deal, even if the return is minimal.

No way Frost is involved, Kuzmenko has to have one of the lowest values trade wise in the league (if you factor in this season, he is one dimensional, and he’s making 5.5).

But this is kind of random considering he’s just played his 5 best games of the season

You mean the team that traded a 2 3 4 for ada?

You have yet to meet the Flyers brass. Only the smoothest, most perfect ball bearing brains allowed.

Lol, honestly the Flyers are my second team and have been since I was a kid. I hate to see the situation they are in, but Michkov is a game breaker.

Is Briere really that bad? It seems since Fletcher was canned he has been a breath of fresh air.
