The bottom of the Flames NHL depth chart isn't exactly dripping with talent...would be cool if he made a push to make the team in camp/pre-season.

Flames have all sorts of good D prospects and Kuznetkov is one of them. He will have to beat out countrymen Solovyov and Grushnikov though.

Our future blueline is an interesting mix. Lots of Ferrari's and lots of plough horses. Very little of the 2 way variety though. I think Brzustewicz will develop into that, but he's the only one I see.

Tons of depth talent on the team. Just no elite talent. Got bottom pairing and bottom 6 forwards for days.

We have depth and potential on the bottom pairing and the AHL for days. What we don't have is clear cut second pairing dmen to stand behind Weegar and Andersson. We have something like 4-5 players that could earn that second pairing lock consideration in the next 1-2 seasons though, but not as of now.

Not a bad time to have that opportunity of baptism by fire when the Flames are aiming to add a high pick or two prior to returning to contention.
