Celtics/NBA Thunder vs Pacers in 2025 NBA Finals

Begrudgingly I say Go Thunder!

It is hard not to smile when you see just how many people are excited by this run. I will say that the fans here have stuck by them from day one so there aren't any fake fans that's for sure. I have enjoyed a few conversations about them moving from Seattle plus they all love the Celtics b/c a lot of the front office came from Boston. It is a very weird experience at how nice people are.

The New York Knicks are the Toronto Maple Leafs of basketball.
I would love to see them lose the series. They and the Pistons are my 2 least favorite teams.

=====================================================

In 2011 the Mavs were so weak their regular season second and third leading scorers were Jason Terry who averaged only 15.8 PPG and Caron Butler who averaged only 15 PPG.

In 2014 the Spurs were so weak that their regular season three leading scores were Parker with 16.7 PPG, a 37-year-old Duncan who averaged only 15.1 PPG, and defensive specialist at the time 22-year-old Kawhi who averaged only 12.8 PPG.

The LeBron led Heat had him, Wade, and Bosh in their prime and lost to both those teams. Meanwhile Duncan and Kobe were winning more rings against tougher teams in the Finals. LeBron is obviously not one of the top two players in the last 30 years.

Normally, I think Kevan Harlan is a really good announcer; but is it just me, or is he coming off as a Knicks homer? He’s shown more emotion on a 2nd quarter knicks layup than he did on the pacers comeback in game 1

Who dat ?
Someone that has money to burn. How is it possible a team that rents its arena and a sport that ratings have been in decline for years worth that kind of money.

Tv contacts worth that much?

Fishy to say the least, What is he investing in really? The league is garbage.

Oh goody. Thunder fans are going to be more insufferable. If SGA goes down, they will fall apart.

Just hope no one gets shot tonight since that’s how these clowns like to celebrate.

I hope OKC loses. It is absolutely nauseating out here. People are already planning the parade and every damn newscast has 5 stories about the cost of tickets and where to buy your finals tshirts.

I finally got pissed at someone who was spamming the shit out of live storm coverage online going on and on about a sweep and all that bs. You could tell the meteorologist was getting mad and others were telling the guy to stop. I finally said I've seen more championships than you'll ever see in your lifetime so stfu. He shut up after that.

OKC is one injury away from folding like an accordion. Give me the Pacers depth off the bench any day. I just hope the refs don't let SGA parade to the free throw line every game. It will get old real fast.

Also, Kendrick Perkins is showing why he's no longer invited to any of the 2008 stuff for Boston. OKC can have him.

In theory every team is one injury away from folding, if we are talking an injury to Shai (or Hali in Indys case); although honestly I think OKC is more capable of handling an injury to their best player than most teams. As good as Jdub, and Chet are, they'd still still be favorites if either were out for the series.
