Hey guys, just trying to collect some reviews for some different ccm and reebok skates. I know that both are owned by adidas and have similar philosophy with a wider fitting boot, but I was hoping to hear some reviews about guys who have either of these skates.

Im especially interested to hear about anyone wearing an E width in either, and if you compared the two brands? Anyone have a CCM U+ 08 or higher or Reebok 7K or higher? Anyone wearing an E in any of these boots? Did you try both brands on, and how satisfied are you with your current skates?

Sorry don't mean to make it a huge questionnaire, just looking for some reviews/advice. I know there are a lot of knowledgeable posters out there so I really appreciate any input. thanks!

I got a pair of Reebok 6K size 8E.

I tried on Supremes (what I originally wanted) and I could tell in seconds it wasn't a fit for me. Then tried on the 6K's and fell in love. Once baked they were a great fit, order of magnitude better than my CCM V4's (also 8E) in both comfort and ankle/foot support.

The lace lock feature is great.

The pump is cool, but I don't really adjust it much.

Only negative (and really minor) is the tendon guards have small cracks where they connect to the boot, but they aren't falling off and still do the job. Just aesthetic.

I can comment that they fit different between the U+ pro and the 9k... I went w/ the 9K, and I like the pump, but the durablity of the liner and the rest of the boot I think is somewhat suspect...

it fits well, but its nowhere as durable as my old CCM tack 852, just based on how I had to fix a couple eyelits and that the liner is wearing and that I prefer a felt tongue... I think the 11k has solved alot of the problems though, and RBK is the only skate that fits me.

I have always been a CCM guy. Went from 952s to U+08. Light skate but not durable at all, and took a long time to break in even after baking. So after a couple years got the U+CL. Not as light but way more durable and were perfect after one bake and one skate.

I've always been a CCM guy as well. Went from 1152's, to Vector 10.0's, and I just ordered a pair of U+CL in a C width. They've always felt much better for me than Bauers.

I actually went a 1/2 size small than usual this time and had the u+cl stretched. That may have helped the break in process.

BTW Nice JJ pic. I am a Kings fan.

i wear a 10.5 shoe and a 9 skate, not sure i could squeeze into an8.5.

its been tough this year as a kings fan....im not exactly thriled with gettinh sutter as a coach either :(

I wear a size 10 shoe and a size 8 skate +U 06..Had them molded and they felt great first time

If you fit into them, the U+12 skate has absolutely amazing mouldability, they wrap amazingly around your foot and around the contours of your ankle. The U+10 is pretty good as well, though the quality of the foams is a small step down.
