So I have posted on here before about all the problems I have had with finding skates that actually fit without killing my feet, it has been an endless struggle over the past few years. I live in the south so it is not like I have easy access to LHS. So with CCM and Bauer joining True/VH in the 3D custom skate scanning market. I was wondering if anyone has used either CCM or Bauer to get an actual mold of their feet and had the skate built around it. Not just used the scanner to recommend fit. Nearest LHS that can scan my feet is over 475 miles away, so I want to have all my ducks in a row.

My fit profile that I know of:
-Wear 12.5 EEEE tennis shoes
-Medium Arch
-Deep heel
-very high instep
-Pencil test failed on Bauer Nexus, CCM Super Tacks.
-Wear Mission Inhaler DSR roller skates in size 11E, those pass the pencil test and feel great.

I went with True skates, went to Pure Hockey, got measured and ordered them yesterday. Hopefully they are everything they I hope them to be.

From what I've heard, you should be pleased if you don't expect a magic bullet right out of of the box. Sometimes there needs to be tweaks to the skate to get it to fit right. Obviously the store will help with that, but some patience might be needed on your end as they get you dialed in.

After dealing with this issue going on over 2 years, I'll be more than willing to make whatever tweaks to the skates if it means the pain subsides. I have always had a high instep, but after ~13 away from the ice, I am just blown away at how much has changed in skate design and materials. While skates were obviously alot less stiff back them, I didn't have alot of problems finding a pair that fit and didn't cause pain.
