You can trey, but you can't fix wolansky.
Consistent offense. He can provide that at the AHL level, but not at the NHL level. He is ill suited for a bottom six role. What is missing in his game that has prevented him from getting an NHL role?
I have a friend who played a ton of AHL time. Made it pretty far in one NHL camp.Consistent offense. He can provide that at the AHL level, but not at the NHL level. He is ill suited for a bottom six role.
TJ Tynan is a perfect example. Has been a star at the AHL level for several years, but unable to crack the NHL.I have a friend who played a ton of AHL time. Made it pretty far in one NHL camp.
He said the difference between AHL and NHL is bigger than any gap he’s ever seen. All time to make decisions, like up shots, make your passes is so drastically reduced that even that half extra second to get off your shot makes the world of difference.
It’s the 0.01% of the 1% that make it

Consistency, size, not elite at anything to overcome the size and consistency issue... He's a tweener. Good player, not great. If not in a scoring role, likely doesn't add anything to a NHL roster. He's got some skill, but not quite enough... Skates well enough, but not high end... Willing to work, but out gunned against size. What is missing in his game that has prevented him from getting an NHL role?
