Hi fans and friends! For a little context, I am an Avalanche fan, and I live near Detroit, MI. I have a massive love and passion for hockey and am looking to start getting to some other teams arenas for some games. I’ve been to Pittsburgh, Colorado and Detroit for games, Columbus is the closest and next on my list, not to mention, they have been an amazing story this year and very fun to watch and I would love to come and support the team.

So my question being, how should I go about getting tickets for the game? I am planning on going March 15th vs NYR. Should I buy from official website? Now? Closer to game day? Not really sure how your guys’ ticket sales and such are. I definitely want my tickets in advance but want to go about the best way of getting them.

Thanks guys, and keep pushing for that playoff spot!!!

I would say that ticket sales will be good this time of year. Last year we were selling out games late season even though the team was basically in last place. In a playoff hunt I would say go ahead and pay face value for a ticket if you can get it. Resale prices have not been too low recently with the teams improved play so I would say not to expect a really cheap below face value deal in all honesty.

Thursday night's game against Utah was a sellout and weeknight games are always a lesser draw than weekends. That NYR game is a Saturday so expect a sellout crowd. Tickpick is usually a solid choice for resale if you don't see anything on the TM website.
