The best fantasy player in the league is on pace for a huge drop in points. That might have something to do with it.

It is kind of wild that a guy scoring at a point per game is having a bad season, but after scoring almost 2 points per game last season, his drop in production is huge.

I hereby award myself Coach of the Day for yesterday.. My starting lineup produced a -5 no goals or assists while my bench produced 2g,9a, +5 and a 44 save shutout. And I set it. My only defense was Panarin was listed d-t-d (but had 3a and a+2) so I IR'd him and added a guy who went -1, Vincentesque.

I dropped Hertl as I don't play anymore after today and he might play tomorrow, so hopefully someone can pick him off for your playoffs!

Congrats to Fro who despite having both Matthews and Kucherov on his team finished 5th in the regular season rallied his troops to capture the CBJ Non-3Keeper League championship.

congrats @Fro . had you up until the last day. was locking in on winning two years in a row but came up just short. 1st and a 2nd in my first two years here, not bad.

Don't get cocky..I won, then 2nd, this year 3rd (due only to a playoff run from 6th). Congrats on your beginner's luck.

Ok folks, time to make a few major decisions.

Do we stick with Yahoo or switch to Fantrax? My preference is to switch. We can replicate the format we had in Yahoo which minimizes the time needed to play each week. Same categories for scoring, Or we can make chanes without overly complicating things due to Fantrax' flexibility.

Do we keep 3 players or do we start from scratch? My preference due to the screwup with last years keeper phase and the fact that the draft order was completely inverted (unlike the Bible the last didn't become first) and that some people didn't follow the suggestion to pick your keepers in the first three rounds manually there were some "injustices" incurred by some. My preference is to start over with everyone having a clean slate.

My other preference is that we just get rid of the keeper concept altogether.As it stands now, if I remember correctly, that we agreed to start anew every fourth year (after 3 seasons) so if we keep the concept we'd only be jump starting the complete redraft by a year.

We have plenty of time but I'd like to get the ball rolling asap. Also please indicate if you are not planning on playing this year.

I hate yahoo and that’s why I quit last season. Well, that and the general malaise of another hideous season.

(that said, the gm games here on hf are a BLAST, especially the discord. if anyone’s interested in joining either, i’d love not to be the only cbj fan in there. it’s all oilers, nucks, and rags… and i think the only two stars fans on this whole site)
