CBJ Fantasy Hockey Thread II (post fantasy / video game items here)

League has been renewed and our draft is scheduled for next Monday, September 30 at 7:30 EDT.

NO KEEPERS.

Draft order will be determined by Yahoo.

Don't forget to rank your players in case you miss the draft.

Because you aren't in anymore. You changed your user name and didn't respond to three or four emails. You probably changed your email address too. I am not a mind reader. Message me with your new email and I'll add you.
 
Weds is best for me. 7:30 or 8 is better than 7 on Tuesdays or Thursday but I can make anytime work. I don’t understand Yahoo communications so I’ll just respond here.

I’m busy monday evening (jackets game) and then wednesday evening as well.

how about tuesday or thursday?
 
Here is the note I sent out almost 2 weeks ago:

Waffle Hares (George) in CBJ Partial Keeper No Prospect (15981) has sent you the following note:

Custom suggests that our draft will be on Monday Sept 30 at 7 or 7:30 EDT.

Season starts 10/4 & 10/5 with 2 overseas games.

North American games commence 10/8

Wk 1 runs from 10/4- 10/13.

Is everyone ok with the 9/30 date & time? Suggestions for a different day or time are welcome but unless there is a groundswell for a different day & time we'll keep the 9/30 date.

I know that most of you work and have family obligations so let me know asap and we can finalize that.

Looks like we'll be at 10 teams again.



After I had a note about the Jackets game on Monday I re-sent a note asking for any suggestions. . I think 4 people responded. I am done chasing people for responses.

The draft will remain at 7:30 on Monday.

i’m out then. you’ll have to find someone else, i’ll be at the jackets game monday night and won’t be drafting.
 
We have 10! We're set to draft Monday at 7:30. Make sure your test your ability to access the draft prior to draft time.

I can do every day, but perhaps it is best to do not Monday since attention will be on the game whether or not we're there in person.

(speaking of which - I have tickets and can't make it so if someone would like them DM me, they're upper bowl shoot twice)
 
Draft tonight at 7:30. Be there a bit early so you can see where your draft position is so you can think about your 1st pick.

Really didn't like being 1OA. But I think I corrected my Goalie problem that haunted me last year. From scanning the waiver list looks like as a group we picked the best.

Goalies are weird. They are overly important in fantasy. You can quickly learn that a guy that was good last year might not be be any good this year. I wanted Shesterkin at 17 and he went at 16. I wanted Saros at 24 and he went at 22. I wanted Bob or Skinner at 57 and they went at 54 and 56. So I’ll be watching goalies and will hopefully get the guy that comes out of nowhere and becomes a top 10 goalie this season.

I applaud the bold move of not drafting McDavid with the 1OA pick.
