Simply vote for the (no more than 1) prospect you think is the best prospect of the above. This poll will be open 24 hours.

This uses HF Criteria, hence why some players have spent time in the NHL.

I maintain we should keep adding and just have an Honorable Mentions list for the others. Mostly because that's the way I'd do it and therefore it is clearly the only correct way to do it. ;)

Or mostly because not all of your guys make it into the top 20? #****justgotreal

Why stop at five honorable mentions? Why not then rank the honorable mentions? Maybe we should just consider everyone after 10, or 12, or 15, an honorable mention. Or how about we make a whole separate list of Honorable Mensch-ians?

Can somebody explain why Heatherington is about to come in at 17 or 18 after being #5 last year and #9 the year before that?

We drafted Dubois and Abramov, and Nutivaara, Korpisalo, Zaar, Kolesar, and others seem to have progressed significantly, while I'm not sure if Heatherington has improved at quite the same rate.

In turn, my question would be why Peeke might beat him in this poll after people were comparing him to Collins.

Age and Peeke performed better than Collins in their draft years. Collins would be ranked a lot higher if he had developed like he was expected to. Collins will move way up the list if he starts to put it all together like he can.

Peeke - 56 GP, 4 G, 26 A, 30 PTS
Collins - 26 GP, 0 G, 2 A, 2 PTS

Not enough people were comparing him to Collins?

that is the most ludacris list I've ever seen...and I've seen my fill...at what point do we consider this trolling?

I agree with your assessment, it's just this poll result isn't what I would've expected based on people's reactions to the Jackets selecting Peeke.

Not enough people were comparing him to Collins?
Also possible. Just a couple very conspicuous people.

Things change?

He's the anti-Anderson?

I'm trying to figure out what's changed, beyond the new draftees. His stats at Lake Erie look good, especially for a 20-year-old stay-at-home defenseman. What did Carlsson, for example, do to pass him by?

(I'm questioning myself here as much as anyone else -- I just voted for Heatherington for the first time on the last poll).

Yeah I said in the last thread he was one of a handful of players I felt I'd been giving the short-shrift.

I used the scientific tool on Blue Jackets Reddit for this one ranking something between 100 to 200 prospect pairings. It worked out nice trajectories.

Merzlikins has done the best in Europe and is on rise.

Korpisalo and Forsberg have done ok in the short run but nothing spectacular.

Harrington is under-valued even on the list.

Dansk did have a rebound season.

Salituro comes with a good pedigree.

Graves has the mental setting.

Gavrikov has done ok but at this point in time, even if he continues to progress will he be up for the fight for a job in the NHL?

Collins has potential giant's growth pattern and with an upturn would skylift to top-7. Among the prospects who need time he might rank in top-3.

Top-25-40 then is geezers who have not shown enough so far to make an impact on the list.

Has Suikkanen ever pedalled a bicycle in this building?

- What has this got to do with the SM-liiga finals press conference?

Let's keep the questions at game.

- Do you even have a press card?

- Huh? What are you? What are you! Tell!

Ok. Let's be at ease and go forward. Will there be any more questions coming from the media?

- Is this some open night? Is this a press conference?

Yes, this is a press conference and situation will calm down.

...

I assume you refer to the new list as the collective one is not complete yet.

To defend the list I would say it is an experimental head-to-head list based upon just below 200 CBJ prospect pairings reviewed upon play (if available) and placement on global ice hockey pyramid in hopes of achieving trajectory and determining impact. It is unfair to compare it against the Puljujärvi mosaic or Hartnell-Wennberg-Dano foundational work so results may wary, although at early stage the overview looks promising nevertheless.
