add salituro

i'd say sedlak, but I just can't vision him as more than a good AHL player...

I guess we're maybe not doing adds anymore.

Could be embarrassing if Sedlak or Siebenaler blow it up this year, but that's how these lists go.

Tynan and Sedlak are in similar boats to me...I am just not sure I see NHL talent there to put them in a top 20 list.

i think so too, I think around #11 or 12 I advocated adding him...saying he should be a top 15 prospect...but then I got away from it b/c well, SQUIRELL!

I'd add Hannikainen too. I just don't think he is a top 20 prospect.

Tynans passed unclaimed through waivers, what, a couple times now? Is he even technically a prospect? Sedlak is at least bigger and younger with a better recent trajectory, and he's marginally top 20 at best.

And then we've got Siebenaler who actually has development time in front of him...

I might even take Scott or Maletta over Tynan at this point. Stenlund's another who I think is getting a bit of a raw deal here -- he's three and a half years younger than Sedlak, for instance, has a second-round pedigree, and put up better than a point per game for HV71's youth team. Granted, he didn't do much in the SHL, but again, he's not even 20 yet. Also, what sets Tynan/Sedlak apart from Alex Broadhurst? I don't see anyone going to bat for Broadhurst but his numbers with Lake Erie were very comparable to both.

My personal top 20:

1. Werenski
2. Dubois
3. Bjorkstrand
4. Korpisalo
5. Milano
6. Anderson
7. Carlsson
8. Kolesar
9. Bittner
10. Gavrikov
11. Nutivaara
12. Abramov
13. Kukan
14. Forsberg
15. Heatherington
16. Merzlikins
17. Zaar
18. Peeke
19. Stenlund
20. Harrington

HM: Hannikainen, Siebenaler, Thome, Vainio

I had to double check that this wasn't my post, similar list.

The only thing I'd definitely do differently is switch Heatherington and Peeke and give Siebenaler a shot ahead of Harrington. None of those D are expected to be much so I think we should favor the younger guys who have more of a chance to surprise us.

Siebenaler was my #20 until I realized I'd left Forsberg off.

Heatherington just turned 21 and had the second-best +/- on the Monsters, and the second-most assists among defensemen. If anything I'm being too harsh on him.

I'd have Vaino on there over Harrington, but i like that list Wheelchair

I'd have Abramov a bit higher, but that may just be nit picking...

Yeah I feel like, personally, I'm giving (or have already given) a bit of a short-shrift to a few guys: Stenlund, Heatherington, Peeke, Collins, Zaar. This is independent of where the board is ranking them (and I don't have a full top 20 of my own), just that as we go on I'm recognizing a few guys who I react to be thinking "in retrospect, he oughta be higher".

I'm counting this a good thing.

The only name on this whole page I'd put behind Tynan is Collins. They're both not close to 20th. Broadhurst, Salituro, Maletta, Scott, Dansk, Thome, Thurkauf, Vainio, etc... all clearly have a better chance of giving us something substantial.

I admittedly kind of stopped reading here.

They may not ever become anything, but they still have a chance. I just don't expect anything special from the other guys and they are getting older. The odds those become anything great are very small, but there is still a chance.
