Yeah its starting to get tricky now... Forsberg is an obvious good choice but I personally have Paliotta and Heatherington in this group too. Ive been learning what I can on Paliotta since the trade and he seems like hes not as good defensively as Heatherington and hasnt filled out like Dillon has yet but his offense has seen huge growth each of the last few years so it's a tough choice.
I guess i'll go Heatherington add Karlsson

I'd sooner add Ryan Collins or Kevin Stenlund than Karlsson and Anderson. The latter two are close to sure bets for bottom six duty, which is great, but I'll go for the upside picks.

Collins seems like 3rd pair with 2nd pair upside and from the little we've seen Stenlund he looks like a perfect 3rd line guy at this point though. I really debated voting for Collins, Stenlund or Korpisalo though (probably Korpisalo 1st personally), Karlsson does worry me a little because he cant seem to gain any weight and strength

Stenlund is as much of a bottom six bet as Karlsson is, really. Collins looks like a #4-6 guy too. Dunno what exactly makes them seem like upside picks over the other 2 prospects... is it just because they're the new and shiny toys?

The new part, yes. I'll go for the 18 year old over the 22 year old just because you don't know what you'll get. There's a ~10-20% chance that we get a top six forward out of Stenlund, and maybe something similar that Collins can turn into a reliable second pair type. With Karlsson and Anderson, they're almost guaranteed to be low end NHLers that we can easily replace on the market for cheap. We'd be pleased if Anderson can have a career like Eric Fehr, or if Karlsson can become the next Mark Letestu. But look at how much those players cost on the market this summer. The way I see it, the point of draft picks isn't to get guys who are easily replaced.

Edit: Another way to look at it: the margin between RFA and UFA for a bottom sixer is going to be maybe $500,000 or maybe $1m. The margin between RFA and UFA for top six is several million dollars.

Why is Karlsson seen as bottom-6 and only player? Is it because young and wild Bill gathered only 62 points in 105 games while playing professionally with men in Sweden's top league? 49 point professional job in 60 games at the second highest level before those numbers. 0.62 ppg and all. Still had 33 points in 62 AHL games even when you include those 15 after trade shellshocked ones for Springfield and his most likely mental-initiated bounces while fighting for regular third line spot in the Anaheim Ducks line-up. Californian Cup contender.

Some are even sticking him into fourth line...

Ryan Collins is the next big thing.

Well that does change my assessment quite a bit if Karlsson has a good shot at being a serious scorer. I don't know personally whether he can be that.

Who hes up against? The fact that its kind of disappointing he hasnt added the weight and muscle everyone knows he needs. Wennberg or Dubinsky is going to be the 3rd center on this team for awhile so unless he really impresses as a wing hes not going to be a top 6 guy in Columbus atleast. If he keeps growing he could be a Letestu type bottom 6, guess we'll see
