Oh good. That's who I was hoping we'd get, rather than who I was dreading.

Unless we get another waiver claim report in a minute or two...
I was hoping against Pelletier. Enough little guys in the system already. At least ZAR comes with built in Tom Wilson hate.

Penguins fans will be taking donations to send the CBJ FO a nice fruit basket. What's the best address to use?

ZAR will be liked in CBJ so long as expectations are low enough. AKA he will be invisible for a few games only with a few hits on the score sheet. Then he will have a monster game, lay some massive hits, score a goal or two, then vanish again

Our expectation is a forward that knows where the defensive zone is and have an idea of what to do while in it

Well he can certainly do that
We basically just need depth to keep the kids in Cleveland to keep playing and not getting sent up and down all the time.

Although I will say Columbus has an advantage over most teams in the sense that we can call someone up and have them at the stadium in 2ish hours by car.

Multiple teams do that now. I think most of the 32 clubs have one in state or province.
Van, Cal, SJ, LA, Ana, LV, Col, Dal, Chi, Win, Tor, Ott, Mon, Buf, Phi, Pit, CBJ, Det, n state

Edm, Utah, Sea, Min, Nash, Stl, Fla, Car, TB, NJ, Wash, NyI, Nyr, Bos out of state. But some are still very close distance wise and can drive to the nhl city.

What's actually pretty impressive is that as close as Columbus is to it's affiliate, you're right, so many more are closer

Columbus' ~125.959km, or 78.267mi, ranks 15th closest in the NHL
