That was a great interview, thanks for sharing the link. My favorite line, and something that echoes in every shift for the Kings is being asked about the feeling walking into the lockeroom that no matter what game, that 'you guys' are gonna win at any cost. And his answer, was one that every King player has said with conviction burning in the ieyes:
"I believe that what we've been through and how we've grown as a team, has led us to believe that no hill is too high to climb. The belief I our dressing room that when your back is against the wall, when it's us or them, I look around the room and have the confidence and faith that we'll get it done and I believe the guys in the room look around the room and at me and have the same feeling. "
You can't put a price on how important that is and why that 'feeling' is the glue that holds this team together. Cudos to DL for holding to his convictions on trading for or signing the person is as important as the player. He won't do anything to break that bond that has led this tem to 3 straight WCF's and now possibly (probably) a 2 nd Cup in 3 years.
I love JW and over the years used to wonder how much better the Flyers would have been with guys like him, Patrick Sharpe, Seidenberg...ones hat got away.
