Confirmed with Link: Cavan Fitzgerald signed to two-year deal

This is actually from May but didn't see anything about Fitzgerald in any of the Hurricanes threads.

With all of the movement in the organization does he have a shot at a job with the NHL club or this merely recognition of his play with the Checkers?

I know very little about him.

Francis is so good that he is capable of getting Carolina to sign a guy and then use him to play for his AHL team, without borrowing him. Wow!

Or maybe it’s Dundon is so cheap that he signs guys but randomly slips him in on other AHL organizations so that he doesn’t have to pay them until.
