Panthers barely have teeth on the road. Question is which Leafs show up tonight? The Leafs that lost last night to Montreal or the Leafs that beat Freddy and the Canes.

yea if we can get that style of gameplay man that will be good for sure. It is kind of wild this is the first game we are facing of this panthers team

It is probably another meaningless regular season game. The divisions were set up to develop rivalries, yet these two teams have yet to play with less than 1/4 of the season to go. Many say we should just enjoy the regular season games and what we have in 34 and 16 but how can anybody enjoy watching how we have played against sad sacks like Montreal, Buffalo, Vancouver and Arizona? The playoffs should be starting late next week. Instead we have another month of MEH hockey games.

When I think of the leafs this old commercial plays in my head..

“Hi. Me again with my Bits and Bites. Stickin my hand in the bag and comin’ out with a new handful. Well, what have we got here? 3 cheese bits, 4 spiced rings and 2 pretzel sticks. Delicious. The game isn’t hyped up and on TNT or ABC primetime, it isn‘t a must win, so perhaps they’ll play loose and make it a good game.

Florida is built like a team that could take a run in the playoffs if the goaltending holds up, so I don’t expect them to be overly physical tonight.

TOR: Top line, D depth
FLA: Top pair, F depth

Goaltending....probably more of a coin flip.
 
2-5-1 vs ARZ/MTL/BUF

Not so good.

In the end that's gonna be what costs us playoffs positioning. Good news I guess is playoffs positioning doesn't look like it matters much this year in our division. (Also we're 4-2-0 so far against potential first round opponents fwiw.)

I'd say Toronto has the better 1st and 3rd lines and probably the better defence.

But none of it will really matter if Mrazek lets in a couple of softies.
 
Was super stoked to find out I was going to the game (b-day gift) a couple of weeks ago . . . but after last night, I'm even more nervous about this game.
Only thing I'm sure of is that the likelihood of there being more than 5 goals scored is extremely high.

1st wildcard is probably their best chance of getting to the 2nd round.
 
Play like the 1st period last night. That's playoff hockey. Play like 2nd and 3rd period last night, that's Leafs playoff hockey. Need to make the first period the standard. Also Mrazek, this is your time.

It is well said...and also sad that the second half defines us lmao.
 
IDK I think we win this one. We usually play well vs good teams and Mrazek was steady last game.
