I'm tired, Boss.
I am crushed they traded my baby boy, I'm devastated they got a defensive Tim Connolly, I'm mortified that I care this much
What? All Adams did was trade one RFA to be for another RFA to be + 1 extra year. Byram is at 3.85 Million for two more years."We need a D" trades center for a D, "NOT THAT D". His contract is basically what Mitts would ask for.
You know, your team can always make more trades in the offseason to solve these issues. Guys like Byram don't become available too often. I understand why your GM jumped on the opportunity to deal from a position of strengthWe don’t need another puck rushing dman. Certainly not a lefty or youngster.
We needed vet defensive dmen, preferably physical. We are too young and soft on defense. Overall as well.
Byrum is very talented kid and I think value wise it’s a fair trade. But it makes no sense with the needs the Sabres have.
I don’t have any doubt about Byrum’s talent or upside. Or that it’s a fair value trade.Another thought: a year ago, this would have been considered a fleecing by BUF because Casey still hadn't really become what he is today, and expectations were still higher for Byram. Byram is only 22. This could still turn out well. And you have to factor the contract situation into it.
Mitts is a great complimentary center (if that makes sense). Play him with a line driver that creates space, and he is very effective at utilizing that space and making plays. But if you play him as the line driver and expect him to get other guys going, you will be disappointed. He doesn't really create the space he needs on his own. Thanks for the report. I'd love to see him with Rantanen and hopefully wake him up. Put Nichuskin on the other side and that will open a lot of space for him.

We literally have two 1st overall picks on defense. The idea that we should trade Mitts for another player like that is nuts. You know, your team can always make more trades in the offseason to solve these issues. Fair enough. I don't disagree with that.I don’t have any doubt about Byrum’s talent or upside. Or that it’s a fair value trade.
But why are we targeting him? He’s not a need with Dahlin, Power and Ryan Johnson here.
The exaggeration in that graphic is a bit much even for you Doak.
I see what I did there. read it too quickly. The exaggeration in that graphic is a bit much even for you Doak.
Byram only makes $3.85M
What’s a big game? You might have to explain what that is to us Sabres fans.I think a lot of his season performances have been underwhelming because he just likes the big games.

Got arguably the sabres second best player for that guyAvs fan here. The Byram advanced stats charts don't look good but we don't win the cup in 22 without him. He's a very talented player and still shows a lot of promise IMO. Hope for the best for him and your squad!
Many did. This trade is so obviously bad that, in retrospect, we should have predicted it.
His potential is really nice, and my coping mechanism says this is one of a few moves. You know, your team can always make more trades in the offseason to solve these issues. for the we hate joker crowd this should be good news
