I'm on board with this. Been saying it since December that he's carrying the Kings on his back. If they make the playoffs, it will be mostly due to Carter's efforts, and all of his game winning goals.

When you consider the current low scoring climate of the NHL, and the fact that Carter plays for the offensively challenged Kings, scoring 40+ goals is remarkable. 50 would take a small miracle.

If the Kings make the playoffs he should definitely be finalist I think. I'm not sure he'll win over the 2 golden boys, but he's put himself in the conversation.
