one can only hope
Montreal's problems with that team seems to go back to the Hartford days.Very possible.
However, Canes have won 3 of their last 8 games since Rantanen. They're also the only playoff team that has a losing record on the road.
But despite that, the Habs haven't beaten the Canes since 2020. And they've beaten them twice since 2018. It's a team Habs struggle against.
I’ll take that action.10$ on the Canes tonight, shouldn't be hard.
This is what I wanted to see. Don't break up the other lines that are going good to help a struggling line...Things that make you go hmm.
Beck has 6 NHL games under his belt and it might be best to temper expectations but now is the time to give him a shot and hopefully he does well. This is what I wanted to see. Don't break up the other lines that are going good to help a struggling line...
Also, if we can't get a 2c via trade this year, and Beck surprises and shows he's close to ready to being a Danault, Laine - Beck - Demidov is pretty close to Pacioretty - Danault - Radulov that was our best line that year. Laine - Beck - Demidov would allow a 3rd line of Newhook - Dach - Anderson, who have been great together. If Beck (likely) isn't ready for that role, then it will be good to see what kind of chemistry he has with Newhook for a bottom six role next year.
having said that, I'm not a fan of Laine and Newhook together.
