I guess beggers can't be choosers at this point. I feel like a 4 game losing streak you still sometimes see with good teams, rarely do you see 5 game losing streaks. I'd say the threshold is 3 games, but 4 is the absolute max.

Thank god they won. Performance wise the last 40 minutes were so frustratingly played that it feels like a loss right now. Just so many people underperforming.

Injuries and schedule grind made them lose discipline and back to the pond hockey shit.

Wheeler and Bonino not being NHL players anymore and taking up top 9 minutes is a huge reason. Bad defense pairs that don't play to each other's strengths. Middle of the road goaltending. Zibanejad amd Kreider being about as useful as a wet rag 5 v 5.

So this is small but could have been big. With 6 or 7 seconds left Trocheck has some room on the other side of the red line he could have lightly dumped the puck in and killed the clock completely. Instead he goes for the empty net resulting in a good chance against in the dying seconds. Am I crazy or was that a really stupid play?
